We are hiring for our Coffee Bar team:
Junior Barista/Counter person – Part-time (2-3 days week) and full-time (4-5days week) seasonal
The Foggy Bean Coffee Bar is adding two junior barista positions to our fall team. If you're looking to get more hours
before town gets quiet again, this is a great opportunity. The positions start immediately and continues until October 31.
The Junior Barista position is for someone with some experience as a barista that is looking to gain more skills, speed and
confidence behind the bar. You will spend time at the counter taking orders and assisting the lead barista during peak
coffee hours. You will pour espresso and steam milk during less busy times of the day.
In this role you will:
• Welcome customers and share information about our products and services
• Take customer orders and process payments
• Prepare iced drinks, drink bases, a local tea menu and filter coffee
• Pour espresso, steam milk and adjust the grinders with supervision
• Maintain a clean and well organized work space
• Attend to open and closing duties. Including dishwashing, cleaning front and back-of-house, resetting the space
for next day service and restocking retail items
Applicants should possess the following:
• Minimum one year experience working in a cafe/coffee/bakery/food truck environment (counter, customer service
and barista experience specifically)
• Motivation o develop your skills and learn about specialty coffee
• A friendly and welcoming attitude. Comfortable welcoming new customers and regulars in a warm and
professional manner
• The ability to work well independently as well as with a small team
• Punctuality & professionalism – we are a small team and we count on each other to arrive on time and to be ready
to work your shift
• Work well under pressure
• Secondary School diploma or equivalent
• Valid FoodSafe certificate is an asset

• $18.50/hr plus tips
• On the job training in a coffee specific environment – level up your barista and coffee skills
• Early mornings! Shifts start early and leave you with later afternoons and evenings off. Must be available to work
weekends. For full-time the schedule would be 4 -5 days/week. Part-time is 2-3 days/week.
